Want to participate in WP Hosting Benchmarks?

The most reliable way to be notified about signing up for the benchmarks is joining the company mailing list. I make an effort to announce in many places, but this is the only one that should deliver that news to your inbox reliably.

General Information

These benchmarks are open to almost every company participating. The primary exceptions are companies that offers services that don’t fit in an apples-to-apples comparison for some reason (eg. pricing model doesn’t translate comparably into price tiers, or technically operate differently or with significant limitation preventing apples-to-apples comparisons like static site hosting).

That said, not every company is likely a good fit for participation in the benchmarks.

If you’ve not done any performance optimization and never load tested your own servers, you probably aren’t a good fit.

The tests that are run are well documented in our Methodology section. Please understand what you’re signing up for.

I am not here to make any company look bad.

Requirements and Understanding:

Pricing / Fees

These tests are not free. They take an incredibly amount of time, effort and resources to run. There is a nominal fee to participate which is based on which price tier a plan is in. Fees will be announced with signups as they are subject to change.

For reference, here were the 2023 fees:
