$51-100/Month Summary

Pressable had perfect uptime, zero errors and showed no signs of stress during either load test. Pressable also was tied for second fastest K6 average response time and third for WP-login response time on Load Storm. A Top Tier performance.

$101-200/Month Summary

Pressable delivered a Top Tier performance. 100% uptime. 1 error across all the load tests. It had the second (tie) fastest K6 average response time. It had the second fastest PHP Bench. Overall an excellent job.

$25-50/Month Summary

Pressable has been a consistent presence in these benchmarks and earned Top Tier status again this year. The uptime was perfect at 100%. The load tests were relatively smooth with only 2 errors. Pressable had another solid year.

LoadStorm

Load Storm is designed to simulate real users visiting the site, logging in and browsing. It tests uncached performance.

K6

K6 is designed to test cached performance by repeatedly requesting the homepage.

WebPageTest

WebPageTest fully loads the homepage and records how long it takes from 12 different locations around the world.

Uptime

Uptime is monitored by two companies: HetrixTools and Uptime Robot. A self hosted monitor was also run in case there was a major discrepancy between the two third party monitors.

WPPerformanceTester

WPPerformanceTester performs two benchmarks. One is a WordPress (WP Bench) and the other a PHP benchmark. WP Bench measures how many WP queries per second and higher tends to be better (varies considerably by architecture). PHP Bench performs a lot of computational and some database operations which are measured in seconds to complete. Lower PHP Bench is better. WP Bench is red in the chart, PHP Bench is blue.

2021 WooCommerce Results

WooCommerce Summary

Pressable earned back to back Top Tier awards now. Perfect uptime. The fastest K6 test at every level. The second fastest Load Storm response time. It also had the fastest Browser profile and was top 4 on the other 3 profiles. The third fastest PHP Bench and third fastest WPT average response time. An excellent showing, well deserving of Top Tier recognition.

LoadStorm

Load Storm is designed to simulate real users visiting the site, logging in and browsing. It tests uncached performance.

Load Storm Average Response Time by Profile

This takes deeper look at the results and analyzes the performance of loading HTML mime types, to ignore a lot of static assets which are cached and bring down average response times. This tests how fast the initial pages are delivered, which is what a user would experience before loading all the other assets like css, javascript and images.

$51-100/Month Summary

Shaky uptime was an issue in the past, but perfect uptime this year shows Pressable has really stepped it up. The load tests went well, especially having the fastest Load Impact response times. It's nice seeing positive improvements leading to Pressable earning Top Tier status again.

$101-200/Month Summary

Perfect uptime. Incredibly fast Load Impact results with zero errors and second fastest peak average load time. The only thing that kept Pressable from earning Top Tier status was Load Storm slowing down responses from 500ms to 1100ms during the test. Honorable Mention well earned.

$25-50/Month Summary

Perfect uptime. The second fastest average response time on Load Storm (only beat by WordPress.com Business which are both owned by Automattic). Pressable also had the second fastest PHP bench score. Well deserved on another Top Tier performance this year.

$201-500/Month Summary

Pressable had perfect uptime and Load Impact test. In fact, they had the fastest peak average response time of any company in this price tier. The only issue was Load Storm caused some increased response times with it slowly climbing to over 1300ms at points. It was borderline on the honorable mention, but the response times went a bit too high. A little better and Pressable would be earning honors at this tier.

Enterprise ($500+/Month) Summary

Pressable had perfect uptime and only 5 total errors on both load tests. I'd like to see faster response times globally but it was a Top Tier performance for sure.
